A simple website to promote my client as the UK's number 1 Michael Bublé Tribute Act. Ian Gallagher spends hours perfecting the art of the modern tribute act and now has a wide following.
The site uses clean markup/css and validates to W3C standards.

Major problems on the server caused this site to function irratically. Hopefully the isssue has now been resolved and my site is now up and running. The problem was the result of a hard drive failure, but thankfully backup of all data was intact.
The guys at Web Hosting Uk technical support were great with their help and advice and I would thoroughly recommend the company to anyone considering a hosting company.

The car was running perfectly this morning when I took my daughter to the ice rink at 5.30am. It fired up first time and gave no indication of the trouble ahead. Time to go home it's 7.30am and my daughter has to be ready for school. I turned the key in the ignition and my Fiat died. No matter how many times I turned the engine over, the car just would not start. First I thought ahha no petrol, so I managed to get a lift to the nearest petrol station and arrived back at the ice rink with a can of fuel. Again nothing. I checked the ignition fuse under the bonnet and that seemed to be ok. Reluctantly I had to leave my fiat there and travelled home by bus. I phoned a friend and later in the morning we towed the car back home. I telephoned Power Italia Basildon and they advised that my car could be booked in for later this week, and suggested I look at the ignition fuse! Turns out the problem was the fuel cut-off switch. All that was needed was for the switch to be reset.

Why are so many designers and developers ignoring W3C standards? The W3C created these standards so the Web would work better for everyone, and yet a majority of sites today still don't validate. I was browsing through this months .net magazine and looking at the section at the beginning of the magazine called readers' sites a showcase for their best work. What a disappointment, all three sites advertised fail to validate. It makes be laugh when I read that the designer or developer having 5 years, 8 years or even 10 years experience and the site they've developed having some 180 errors.

I've had the car now for a number of weeks and I can tell you that it's been a sheer pleasure to drive. There have been a number of faults which have been efficiently and quickly put right by Power Italia Basildon, and the car now seems to be in perfect working order. The coupe was booked in for a full service 15 August for the usual oil, filters and spark plug change with all fluids checked and topped up. The oil cooler pipes were found to be extremely corroded and in a dangerous condition and were immediately replaced with a reconditioned set at a cost of £160.00. Further faults were discovered, such as offside front Brembo calliper locked and binding, the driver side track rod end worn, a leaky driveshaft seal and a hairline crack on the 5th branch of the exhaust manifold, which proved to be the biggest expense. I decided that while Power Italia had the car I would replace the already worn exhaust with a Pipecraft custom built stainless steel version to further improve on that growl. The car now drives better than ever and seems slightly more responsive and of course now has that glorious grunt!

First impressions on collecting the car was
'wow' what a good looking vehicle. I had arranged with the seller to collect
the car from the car park at South Ruislip station on the central line at 8pm. We arrived late at 8.10pm and Brian was already waiting. It had been raining and the car
looked ravishing wet, parked in the station car park with the engine warming
and the driver's door open with Brian standing by. My daughter who had been adamant
that she wouldn't like the car, the shape and the colour being awful let out a
shriek of excitement when we turned the corner and she saw the coupe for the
first time. "Dad" she said "It's alright".
After pleasantries were exchanged, the cash
handed over and the ownership details sorted out our goodbyes were said and we
made our way to the nearest petrol station. I filled the coupe with fifty
litres of unleaded and bought my daughter 2 packets of Walkers crisps before
making our way home along the A40 towards the M25.
I can honestly say that the little Fiat is
a dream to drive. Despite the rain heavy at times the coupe was simply exhilarating,
there’s the sound from the exhaust, the road handling and the sheer power from
the engine that makes driving this ‘Ferrari’ awesome.
Dropping down to third and pushing the revs
to 5000 truly engaged the turbo I managed a glance over towards Isabella pinned
against her seat, her facial expression displaying sheer horror and panic “Daddy
I’m scared!”

I've just bought a little '97 Fiat. The car seems to have been well maintained with low mileage 77,000 and comes with full service history. It's had the cambelt changed at 60,000 and clutch replaced recently.
I wanted a coupe after reading David Hurst's blog some time ago. According to Parker's review performance is blistering 0 - 60 in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 155mph.
I'm off to collect the car tomorrow!

I recently found this old photograph taken during my days at UCNW Bangor. It's me on a trek to Snowdon . I remember there were three of us Patrick, Eric and myself. We reached the summit of Snowdon and camped the night returning to Bangor the next day. All I can remember that it was bloody cold and I was starving and that it rained most of the time.

I was extremely relieved to have passed
Microsoft’s Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Visual
Basic.NET and the .NET Framework examination, otherwise known as 70-310. Having failed first time I was determined to pass the second time round. The exam is difficult
goes without saying, on a completely different level from the other exams I have
taken, however with regular study which saw me sitting at my computer every
night till the early hours smoking and drinking copious cups of coffee ploughing through Gunderloy’s book I was finally rewarded with a pass yesterday.
